Visit with Meghan

My dear friend Meghan came to Utah to visit! The last time we saw each other was at our ten year reunion when her baby Kendall was 1 week old! This little girl is a riot! She is so happy and smiley and completely content with hanging out playing by herself. She also will randomly blow rasberries at you to communicate, and usually she got a pretty good reaction out of people (especially my kids), when she did it so she would keep doing it. Hilarious. Madelyn really enjoyed having her around too, she thought that this baby was pretty neat because she would actually play with her. Ian can't play yet so he isn't fun for her.

We have somehow made it a tradition when we are together to be "crafty." I showed Meghan how to make a tutu for Kendall and Meghan showed me how to make some satin hair bows. We also made some fabric hair bows, a skirt for Madelyn (check it out in my Easter post) and some watch bracelets. A lot of our inspiration came from a womens expo that we went to that had a whole building full of booths with products especially for women, jewelry, clothes, crafts, etc. That place was crazy! There were so many women there and we had two strollers to push around.
Here are a fraction of the bows we made:

We took these fun pictures of our kids because lets face it, kids are cuter than us aging women,

although we tried to take a picture on our way to the airport early in the morning of us because we realized that we hadn't taken a picture of us the whole time she had been there.

yeah not too pretty, huh

Oh we had fun, we decided to make it a annual tradition to get together and craft no matter where we move to. It was so fun to be together, just like old times, it really comforted my soul, and made me feel so blessed to have her in my life. It was also a pleasure to see her be a mom! She is wonderful and it just tickles me to see her in the joy of motherhood! "Lob" you Megs!

Thanks, I had such a great time (as I always do when I'm with you guys!). I'm already looking forward to our next craft extravaganza!
