We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.

Well here it is, the most awaited baby's room. I have to give a lot of credit to Scott, he completely took charge of the painting of the room and did a fabulous job. I picked out the colors and set the paint cans in the room and taped, then Scott came home and saw those things in the room and said, "do you want me to start painting?" He finished that night, and put up the molding probably about a week later. The beautiful crib came from our good friends the Reardons. When Julie heard that I was planning on using our pack N play for the baby's bed (what we did with Rylan and it worked fine) she said, "oh you need a bigger crib you can have ours!" Wasn't that sweet? I would like to put something on this wall above the crib, maybe a vinyl saying or her name in painted wooden letters. Oh and thanks to all of your responses about the curtains. And for those of you who are really into safety (or as Rylan would say, "you have a Safety Violation mom...

So I am making curtains for the baby's room and I can't quite decide which I like better. I can make the curtains drape like this image below . . . Or I can have them look like this. I put a wire in the bottom seam to make it a bit stiffer and rolled it up. So which do you like the most the drapey one or the wire one?

So I just wanted to take a minute and gripe about pregnancy. I have had it pretty great so far, I have had lots of energy, been able to do things like normal, but NOW I am just a fat cow who can't sleep at night, with swollen hands and feet, has to pee every 30 minutes, is an emotional wreck, exhausted after doing the most simple tasks, and has symptoms of pregnancy that I do not wish to discuss with all. Ok, only three weeks left I can so this, I can do this, it is all worth it in the end when I have my little girl in my arms. Alright I am done.

Here are some pictures from Rylan's birthday. He got a Lego Indiana Jones video game for the Xbox from Scott, but is that game really for him or his father....ummmm? He enjoyed playing in the packing peanuts. . . What was in the peanuts you might ask . . .a fishing pole and tackle box from Papa and Grammy! This toy rocks, I would recommend it to anyone. It is a pitching machine that has three settings. A tee, a setting that pitches the ball straight up, and a setting that pitches it out at an angle, like 4 feet out. Now we don't have to spend hours pitching the ball to Rylan in the yard, which is one of his favorite things to do. Then we took Rylan to a waterpark, this is us getting ready to go, and for those of you who haven't seen me lately my HUGE belly! Rylan wanted to make cupcakes this year which was fine with me! I didn't have the energy to make a decorated cake like I usually do. After we went swimming we came home and made our own pizza's, decorated cupca...

My friend did this for her daughter on her birthday and I thought this would be fun to do for Rylan who turns 5 today! I can't believe it, my little boy is five. Rylan was a dream baby, sleeping through the night by 6 weeks, a great nurser, and was very patient with me while I finished up school at BYU-Idaho. I would take him to the campus with me, to the library and everyone would stop and look at how cute he was. I even had to bring him to class a couple times, my teachers didn't mind he was usually sleeping anyway. BTW -this picture was taken by Michelle Wolf Photography who I would highly recommend if you are in the LC valley. When he was born it was seriously one of the most wonderful experiences of my life! Scott and I were both crying when we saw our little miracle in our arms. I remember not getting any sleep that day he was born and that night afterwards, I was on such a adrenaline high I think I watched him all night long at the hospital. He had so much black hair! ...

Aren't they so cute? This is Richard and Lynnette Young, my parents who have been married for 40 years! I love them very much and owe a lot to them. When I was growing up in my teenage years all my brothers and sisters were out of the house, so I was like the only child. My parents were great friends to me and I never really got into much trouble because I didn't want to disappoint them. My dad noticed that I was busy in the morning and leaving the house without breakfast so he made the commitment to make me breakfast every morning before I left. Sometimes it was just cereal all ready and poured and sometimes it was hotcakes, sausage,and O.J. with a freshly picked rose in a vase. My mom is the funniest companion. I just love to have her around, she is so fun to exercise with, talk with, and play games with (she is really good too!). I call her all the time with questions about raising children and boy does she know her stuff. As I wait for the arrival of my second child I feel ...

To some of you this is no big deal because you have been here a million times, but we got to take our foster brothers and sister for the first time! We did the tour of the visitor centers, went up to the top of the administration building, and watched the Joseph Smith movie at the Legacy Theather (which if you haven't seen it lately it rocks!).
