We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.

This blog is our family history and as I think about what I want our family to remember as our kids grow up and start their own families, I feel like I need to include some more spiritual experiences.  We have had some amazing things happen to us lately that I want to remember and I want my kids to look back and know that their mom and dad had a relationship with Heavenly Father. On Christmas Eve we anxiously watched Santa through Google circle the world, Madelyn kept us updated with where he was at all times.  It was funny to hear her try and read the names especially when he was in Africa                                                     Mom treated us to her traditional wiener schnitzel (breaded veal, but we used beef) topped with tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.  We also had cheesy potatoes, green beans, fruit salad, and sparkling cider.  Ian (the pickiest eater on the planet) refused dinner and decided to wait for us to finish on the couch. Way back in October I was chatting with my parents who usually have come to visit us in the fall, they couldn't this year because my mom was having cataract surgery on her eyes.  So they came for Christmas instead!  We had them for 3 whole weeks!
