Rylan Becomes a Deacon
Along with turning 12 this August Rylan was old enough to receive the Aaronic priesthood. This is a very special commitment for Rylan as he learns and grows in the gospel. With the priesthood he is acting through Jesus Christ by serving others, and helping to administer priesthood ordinances such as passing the sacrament to the congregation every week. Scott was able to give the priesthood to Rylan which was so sweet and special to witness. Some other responsibilities of a deacon are: *to watch over the church and help members with their temporal needs. *setting a good example for fellow quorum members and other Church members *actively living a righteous life and remain worthy to exercise the priesthood It is a big responsibility for a kid, but he is ready to take it on. He now also gets to join in youth group activities once a week. We are proud of you Rylan!
