I wanna be a Cowboy

Image
At Border Days they have three days of Rodeo! We went to watch Jacob who is one of Doug and Jody's foster boys. He was in the wild steer competition, and did pretty good, well he stayed on longer than I could have. Rylan likes to be like his Papa who is a real cowboy, so he got all decked out for the Rodeo complete with cowboy hat and boots!

Visit with Meghan

My dear friend Meghan came to visit us in Lewiston and she took this adorable picture of Rylan kissing my belly. We went out to breakfast with Lindsey and had another picture moment.

The 4th of July Kiddie Parade

Image
In Grangeville (population 3,000) they have this event during the 4th of July called Border Days. They have a Rodeo, street games, yummy carnival food, parades, fireworks, the best SCONES on earth, vedors, strawberry shortcake, am I forgetting anything. . .oh yes and a parade that only kids can be in! So Rylan and Scott decorated his new bike with red, white, and blue stars and flags, and Rylan got to ride in the parade (with dad close by of course). He thought it was so fun and he wanted to throw candy to everyone as he rode, but we couldn't figure quite how to do that while he was riding at the same time.

Trip up North

We were up in Lewiston for 3 weeks this summer, first for my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary Party (will post pictures when I get them), then I stayed for the week afterwards, and Scott flew home. He flew back up for the 4th of July celebration with Scott's family. While at Grandpa and Grandma's house in Lewiston Rylan had a blast playing with his cousin Grace who was there visiting. One day the little blow up pool just wasn't entertaining enough for them so the begged Grandpa to come in. What a good sport!
