We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.

Scott was on the list to be promoted to captain...finally! This was all supposed to happen months ago, but someone somewhere wasn't doing his job. He can't quite wear the captain symbols on his uniform yet, and we aren't getting paid like a captain, but soon enough it will happen. But he was on the official list to be promoted. YEAH! Also Maddy's hair was finally long enough to get a little trim to even it out. She was very brave, we told her she got to wear a fishee dress and she was all for it.

Since Rylan was off track these past three weeks, we headed to Vegas! Scott had never been there and we figured that we had to experience it while we were only a 6 hour drive away. We headed out early in the morning and our wonderful, glorious, makes-the-car-ride-easy-machine, broke. It just would not play any DVDs. This is what happens when our high-maintenance Maddy has nothing to do: So we had to stop about 45 minutes away from home to get another one. We got a great deal at the South Point hotel which is a couple miles away from the famous Las Vegas Blvd strip. The second we stepped into our room both Rylan and Maddy looked out the huge window and commented on the pool. Ry said, "wow, look at that cool pool!" Maddy said, "ohhh big wa-wa, look big wa-wa!" We saw just about everything we possibly could, that first night we went to the pool and played then went to dinner.
