Ian's 9th Birthday

Ian played another season with Upward. This year his friend Boston joined him, they had a blast together! Ian wanted to have a Star Wars birthday party this year. He has never had a friend birthday party before but he has some pretty awesome friends that he wanted to have fun with. We made baby Yoda cupcakes We had Pizza, Padawan popcorn, DeathStar Doughnuts, Han Rolos (rollo chocolates), Light sabers (twizzlers), mini Ewoks (Teddy Graham crackers)                                           Ian invited 3 friends, here was our party agenda: *Boys enter and receive their cloaks that I made and inflatable light sabers and sit on couch until all arrive. *Jedi Master Rylan teaches them fighting stance, and a fight sequence. Christmas Break in VA

Our beloved Army friends the Reardons moved from Hawaii to Virginia and we were dying to see them. We also have wonderful Chicago friends the Foxes that live there plus Oma and Opa-so we made a trip out of it! First stop was the Foxes.  We made it to the Foxes town at about 1, but we told them we would stop and eat lunch on the way and be at their house around 2. We stopped at a Chick Fil La to eat and just as we got our food, in walks the Foxes getting lunch for themselves!!! We all laughed so hard and hugged and ate together. We went back to their house and the kids played outside and we chatted.  Scott, Brett and Lisa and I went to Georgetown for dinner and to walk around the village and see these really cool  lit up art exhibits.  It was really busy, but we still had fun and the burger place we went to was the best burger I have had in a long time! The next day was Sunday and Brett just got called to be the Bishop of their ward a couple weeks ago. So we got to se...
