Girls Camp and End of Summer 2021
Our Stake went back and forth between deciding if we should have girls camp or not. They finally decided to let the leaders plan one around March, but that didn't give them much time to plan so it was a shortened version, two nights and three days. I was lucky enough to go with about 7 girls and 6 more youth camp leaders that drove up a day early. I had a blast getting to know Jamie Rogers better and we had some good times together. I convinced her that wearing a muu muu is the way to go at girls camp! They made literacy kits for local elementary schools for their service project. The bishop came up and he gave a little devotional and he gave us all these hair wraps that HE made from embroidery thread. He tied it to how all the different colors represent all of us and how together we can make something beautiful. I thought it was so sweet and thoughtful.
