Idaho/Utah Visit Summer 2021

Image
We had planned a trip to Utah/Idaho in the summer of 2020, but Covid made us cancel. We were able to reschedule our flights for the summer of 2021. There were still restrictions in place but we took the risk and were so happy to see family. We flew into Salt Lake City and rented a car and stayed with the Andersons. We took the kids to temple square even though everything was closed down, we were still able to see the construction that they were doing to fix up the Salt Lake Temple. But we still had fun walking around the outside and explaining what each building was. The conference center is so massive and seeing what they are doing under the temple, they have dug under so much, and we saw a tunnel. Scott and Rylan went off on their own to shop at the missionary mall. We had the kids stand next to the statue of their great, great, great, great uncle Brigham Young! Margie and Jeff took us on a hike above Salt Lake City called Desolation Trail, it was 2.5 miles up but mostly shaded. ...
