We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.

We had a wonderful Christmas season going to band concerts, office parties, and dance recitals! Ian even wanted in on the dance fun and joined boys dance with Miss Isabel. They did a foosball dance and a drummer boy dance. I asked the kids to pick out someone in the community that we could serve and they picked the guys who pick up our garbage, so we left them a little note and some treats the week before Christmas.  I helped a friend out by making a t-shirt quilt for her dad for Christmas   We decided to make the Mega Cavern Lights an annual tradition up in Louisville, the kids thought this Chewbacca was hilarious We had special visitors for Christmas! Our Madelyn turned double digits this year! For her 10th birthday in September, she wanted to have a friend party and make her own emoji cake.  We invited some of her friends from church and the neighborhood to play pin the kiss on the emoji, make slime, make a yarn emoji pom-pom, play some other emoji themed games and have pizza and cake.  Madelyn is the life of the party, she is always busy doing something and rarely sits down.  She loves to do crafts, do sports, play video games with her brothers and is quite the artist.  She is always making us laugh and teasing someone.  She is a star mathematician and loves to be read to or listen to  audio books, but reading on her own is too boring.  She has many friends, is kind to others and is very responsible and accountable for her school work.  We love our Maddy girl very much!

We had our ward trunk or treat at a members farm the Saturday before Halloween. It was great having an event that was not at the church.  It was cold, but nice to be in a big space where the kids could run around in. The primary was in charge of providing games, we had bean bag toss, ring toss, search in the hay game, and a craft. Ever since watching The Greatest Showman , Madelyn has wanted to be Anne Wheeler for Halloween. I looked everywhere for a costume, but couldn't find one so I decided to make it with a purple leotard she had. Ian wanted to be Calvin from the comic Calvin and Hobbes, I think Rylan convinced him because he has been that character for Halloween a couple times in the past. There was a big debate on our towns social media page on whether to switch trick or treating nights. There was a horrible rain storm predicted Halloween night on the 31st.
