Maddy turns 10

Our Madelyn turned double digits this year! For her 10th birthday in September, she wanted to have a friend party and make her own emoji cake. 















We invited some of her friends from church and the neighborhood to play pin the kiss on the emoji, make slime, make a yarn emoji pom-pom, play some other emoji themed games and have pizza and cake. 











Madelyn is the life of the party, she is always busy doing something and rarely sits down.  She loves to do crafts, do sports, play video games with her brothers and is quite the artist.  She is always making us laugh and teasing someone.  She is a star mathematician and loves to be read to or listen to  audio books, but reading on her own is too boring.  She has many friends, is kind to others and is very responsible and accountable for her school work.  We love our Maddy girl very much!

Dare Essay winner

 (Early Spring 2022)  Ian was selected to read his essay at his DARE graduation! They called the top three essays for each class and Ian’s was picked to read for Mr Thompson’s class. They had to read their essay on the spot in front of the whole 5th grade and their parents! He was just getting over a sickness so his voice was a bit crackly but he did great! He got a big trophy too! I had a cough drop and bottled water in my purse in case he needed it, but he didn’t. Mr. Thompson pulled me aside and jokingly said that he has highly considering holding Ian back so he could be in his class again, he just thinks he is the coolest kid.  Ian has also loved Academic Team this year! Grandpa & Grandma Young Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Young drove all the way from Idaho to visit us!  It took them 2 1/2 days because they stopped at Mt. Rushmore, but they got here around 1:00 pm and we were all so excited and when Rylan got off the bus, they were there waiting for him! With G & G Young comes the I-pad which is a good way for Grandmas and Grandpas to get to actually hold their grandkids all they want.   Ian learned quite a bit from the I-pad just from their time here.   Ian has learned to say, "cheese" whenever someone points a camera at him  I am sorry to say that we didn't do that much, and when I asked them what they wanted to do they said that just wanted to watch me be a mom and play with the kids. Rylan and the Beginning of Mission Prep

(Early Spring 2022) Rylan was able to have one last percussion season.
