Christmas 2018

We had a wonderful Christmas season going to band concerts, office parties, and dance recitals! Ian even wanted in on the dance fun and joined boys dance with Miss Isabel. They did a foosball dance and a drummer boy dance.





I asked the kids to pick out someone in the community that we could serve and they picked the guys who pick up our garbage, so we left them a little note and some treats the week before Christmas. 

I helped a friend out by making a t-shirt quilt for her dad for Christmas 
 We decided to make the Mega Cavern Lights an annual tradition up in Louisville, the kids thought this Chewbacca was hilarious


We had special visitors for Christmas! Uncle Ken, Aunt Lonalee, Ashley, and Cooper came. The kids absolutely loved having Cooper around and he was our main source of entertainment.

We made graham cracker houses with frosting and candies

We received some fun games and some money from Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas that we decided as a family to spend at Best Buy on a Nintendo Switch.  That kept us busy the rest of Christmas vacation. We also had a flu/cold go through our house as well.

Dare Essay winner

 (Early Spring 2022)  Ian was selected to read his essay at his DARE graduation! They called the top three essays for each class and Ian’s was picked to read for Mr Thompson’s class. They had to read their essay on the spot in front of the whole 5th grade and their parents! He was just getting over a sickness so his voice was a bit crackly but he did great! He got a big trophy too! I had a cough drop and bottled water in my purse in case he needed it, but he didn’t. Mr. Thompson pulled me aside and jokingly said that he has highly considering holding Ian back so he could be in his class again, he just thinks he is the coolest kid.  Ian has also loved Academic Team this year! Grandpa & Grandma Young Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Young drove all the way from Idaho to visit us!  It took them 2 1/2 days because they stopped at Mt. Rushmore, but they got here around 1:00 pm and we were all so excited and when Rylan got off the bus, they were there waiting for him! With G & G Young comes the I-pad which is a good way for Grandmas and Grandpas to get to actually hold their grandkids all they want.   Ian learned quite a bit from the I-pad just from their time here.   Ian has learned to say, "cheese" whenever someone points a camera at him  I am sorry to say that we didn't do that much, and when I asked them what they wanted to do they said that just wanted to watch me be a mom and play with the kids. Rylan and the Beginning of Mission Prep

(Early Spring 2022) Rylan was able to have one last percussion season.
