Rylan's Birthday, Visit with Oma & Opa, & Back to School

 Now that Rylan is getting older (and a bit wiser) he is starting to realize that he doesn't really need more "things." So for his birthday we told him that he could pick a present for his birthday or an experience. He thought pretty hard about what he wanted to do.  We drive by the bay on the way to and from school everyday and we almost always see people parasailing. He decided that he wanted to try that!  We looked it up, asked Opa if he wanted to try it with Rylan, and we booked it!  On his actual birthday we picked him up from school and headed straight to Hawaii Water Sports Center They left the marina and headed out to the bay, look at these excited faces  And they went UP! They had a blast, happy 13th birthday dear Rylan We had a delightful visit with Oma and Opa when they came to Scott's promotion.  They stayed with us for 2 weeks! One of the benefits of having them here is that Opa takes amazing pictures!  Like ...

Madelyn's Birthday & Baptism

This little girl of ours turned 8! I mean look how precious she was and currently is! Whether she is rolling in the dirt, catching toads, or playing dress up, she is without a doubt my favorite little girl on earth.  She has a mind of her own, is sassy, and is not afraid to tell you how she feels.  She is so kind especially to her little brother. She walks him to class and hugs him as they say goodbye everyday, she gives up toys for him and loves to read to him. Sometimes I find Ian in Madelyn's bed in the morning Reading under the stairs                                     I went on a field trip with her 2nd grade class to the Japanese Cultural Center and now that she is 8 she went to her first Women's General Conference Meeting with me at our beautiful stake center in downtown Honolulu.  She wiggled a lot and she ended up laying on my lap while I stoked her hair th...
