Warning: This is a very long post about a very cool vacation! Friday after school we drove two hours to Charleston, SC, there is one word to describe this city: CHARMING! Full of rich American history with old homes and buildings in their original structure, most were over 200 years old, we fell in love and couldn't help thinking about our forefathers and what they went through to provide the America that we have today. It was the perfect place to be for Veteran's day weekend. Unfortunately history isn't that exciting for our kids (not yet), SO we had to throw in some "kid friendly" activities. Ian's first words. . .dada and uh-oh. We got the uh-oh on video, but not dada, Scott was too distracting for him. When he drops something off his highchair, he says uh-oh. He says dada morning, noon and night, and when Scott gets home he loves to crawl over to him and get loves. Sometimes when I am in the middle of something and Ian wakes up from a nap I ask Madelyn to go in his room and entertain him until I can get there, this is what they were doing one day. . . Our Magician and Dorothy I guess I better post our Halloween pictures on here! We had a fun time this year, the week before Rylan got a free admission to a fall carnival place that he went to with his school on a field trip, so we thought we would give it a try. They had a farmer selling pumpkins, a corn maze, haunted forest, petting zoo, and some tour guides on the hay rides that were the most entertaining! One guy was so funny he was so animated like a cartoon character, he also had a THICK southern accent. After listening to him for a couple minutes, Maddy said a little too loud, "I don't understand what he is saying?!!?"
