Snow Days, UpWard Basketball & Cheer

It does snow in Kentucky! We had two snow days when the kids stayed home from school so we took advantage and played in our back yard. I knew that hill would be good for something! We invited some neighborhood kids over in the afternoon to come sled with us.  After sitting outside and playing I decided I was done and watched them from the window that is above our computer desk in the kitchen. In January and February Madelyn did her first year of cheerleading. Originally she wanted to play basketball but when she heard that cheerleading was an option she changed her mind.  It was through a wonderful Christian church called Grace Heartland. They were so fun to work with and Madelyn loved learning the cheers, dancing and making new friends.  Ian tried basketball for the first time! Christmas & New Years!

Scott's uncle Ken and his cousin Ashley (and baby Cooper) came to visit us for Christmas. After not having family near us for so long for holidays we really got so lucky to be able to have family back to back for the holidays.  Here is the honorary matching Christmas jammies picture, this year I decided that I needed some too. Star Wars!   We had a nice ham Christmas Eve dinner then Scott read us the story of Jesus's birth and we set out cookies and milk for Santa.  Christmas morning the kids came running down the stairs to find what Santa had left for them. The men had to take naps, like uncle, like nephew!  I enjoyed holding baby Cooper and hearing him coo to his mama.   Rylan has been asking for a suit for years!  We thought it was finally time to get him one...we will see how long it fits, he is growing like a weed! We got some fun new games like Hedbanz and Telestrations. ...
