Southern Utah Day 8:




After spending all day in the camper yesterday we were ready to head out this morning to play. We went to the top of St. George where there is a city park of red rock with trails on them. Ian was ready to eat by then so I stayed in the car and feed him while Scott took Madelyn and Rylan. The kids had a blast, then we went to Chuck-a-Rama for lunch. After lunch we decided to go see the movie "Hop." It had a few funny moments but over all it wasn't our favorite. It kept the kids entertained, well that and a bag of popcorn. Then on to the outlet malls! Madelyn took a nap in the stroller, which I think is a first in her LIFE! The kids were so good while we were shopping that we found a park and let them birn off some steam for a while. Quotes: both from Madelyn, oh she cracks us up! "I like to climb . . .WE'RE GUNNA DIE!" pointing at a small palm tree outside the resturant, and then at Scott in all seriousness "That, . . .is a bananna tree." Biff it tally 3

You didn't mention who the biff-its were by...must have been YOU! The way you are describing your trip makes me wish I was with you guys. Maybe we can all stay in the camper next week.

 (Early Spring 2022)  Ian was selected to read his essay at his DARE graduation! They called the top three essays for each class and Ian’s was picked to read for Mr Thompson’s class. They had to read their essay on the spot in front of the whole 5th grade and their parents! He was just getting over a sickness so his voice was a bit crackly but he did great! He got a big trophy too! I had a cough drop and bottled water in my purse in case he needed it, but he didn’t. Grandpa & Grandma Young Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Young drove all the way from Idaho to visit us!  It took them 2 1/2 days because they stopped at Mt. Rushmore, but they got here around 1:00 pm and we were all so excited and when Rylan got off the bus, they were there waiting for him! With G & G Young comes the I-pad which is a good way for Grandmas and Grandpas to get to actually hold their grandkids all they want.   Ian learned quite a bit from the I-pad just from their time here.   Ian has learned to say, "cheese" whenever someone points a camera at him  I am sorry to say that we didn't do that much, and when I asked them what they wanted to do they said that just wanted to watch me be a mom and play with the kids. Rylan and the Beginning of Mission Prep
