Leftover Vacation Pics








We left out these good videos and pictures from our trip because they didn't really fit anywhere but we want to share them, because they are SO cute!



That first video is of Madelyn singing her favorite song, "Stuck Like Glue" by Sugarland. Every time this comes on she says, "turn it up mom!" and she sings along like this. Sorry the video is so shaky, Scott's truck is extra bumpy! Also I will confess that Rylan was sitting in the front seat and I was in the back. Here is my explanation, Ian was extra fussy that day and Rylan couldn't console him back there, plus we were on the scenic highway where it was slow and there were buses transporting people without seat belts so there is our justification.




This is Maddy and how eager she was hiking! She was such a trooper, and she fell multiple times because she just couldn't slow down! Love her enthusiasm. She never asked to be carried, in fact she got mad at me when I did pick her up to help her get over some hard parts! In the video she said, "Come on, you can do it! I will catch you!"

Good Morning! Here is what our family was doing at 6:30 a.m. every morning! Snuggling in bed and watching a show! Notice that Madelyn has already put on her necklace for the day, that girl is so funny.

Our RIDE! 9 miles to the gallon baby! It was the first time we hauled anything in our new truck, and it did great, but when you blow up the airbags to help haul stuff it makes the ride REALLY bumpy! It made me sick, but the kids loved it.




What do you do when the weather is bad and you are stuck in the camper? LEGO creations!




Our little Ian hanging out in the truck! He did pretty good for the most part.





Naps, they are a necessity for our Madelyn, she crashed hard when we had a busy day. One of the reasons we love this camper is that there are two bunk beds in the back, in the middle are the kitchen and bathroom then in the front is a large dining that turns into a bed also with a bunk bed above it. So the kids slept on the lower bunks and we stored all of our stuff on the top bunks. We were able to put them to bed and close the curtain and still be up if we wanted to. Nice!

Dare Essay winner

 (Early Spring 2022)  Ian was selected to read his essay at his DARE graduation! They called the top three essays for each class and Ian’s was picked to read for Mr Thompson’s class. They had to read their essay on the spot in front of the whole 5th grade and their parents! He was just getting over a sickness so his voice was a bit crackly but he did great! He got a big trophy too! I had a cough drop and bottled water in my purse in case he needed it, but he didn’t. Mr. Thompson pulled me aside and jokingly said that he has highly considering holding Ian back so he could be in his class again, he just thinks he is the coolest kid.  Ian has also loved Academic Team this year! Grandpa & Grandma Young Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Young drove all the way from Idaho to visit us!  It took them 2 1/2 days because they stopped at Mt. Rushmore, but they got here around 1:00 pm and we were all so excited and when Rylan got off the bus, they were there waiting for him! With G & G Young comes the I-pad which is a good way for Grandmas and Grandpas to get to actually hold their grandkids all they want.   Ian learned quite a bit from the I-pad just from their time here.   Ian has learned to say, "cheese" whenever someone points a camera at him  I am sorry to say that we didn't do that much, and when I asked them what they wanted to do they said that just wanted to watch me be a mom and play with the kids. Rylan and the Beginning of Mission Prep

(Early Spring 2022) Rylan was able to have one last percussion season.
