Spring 2017

After Spring Break we jumped right back into school, we only had two months left until summer! 
The Spring bunny came and left a surprise for the kids:








Each egg had a dollar coin in it and the bunny left each kid 8 eggs underwater!

I went on a field trip with Ian's class to the Living Art Museum



 and with Maddy's class to the Hawaii State Art Museum

Madelyn also beat her school's double dutch record, with 293 jumps!  She loves to race all the boys at recess, and give us a report of who she beat that day or who beat her and what she is going to do to get them next time.  Madelyn is also preferring to always wear her beautiful curly hair up in a ponytail and use a headband.

This is a common picture in our house when I say get up, get out of bed! They get up but then lay back down at the top of the stairs!
 Rylan went on some fun campouts with the deacons who all go to his school he has made some prety great friends her in Hawaii.


 Rylan also tried archery and soccer in the spring and did his best and had a lot of fun.
Of course there were some beach days mixed in with our busy days

 Oma sent us a beautiful quilt she made out of fabric that she bought when they were visiting us last year. Madelyn instantly claimed it for herself, so Scott has to snuggle her if he wants to enjoy it.

Dare Essay winner

 (Early Spring 2022)  Ian was selected to read his essay at his DARE graduation! They called the top three essays for each class and Ian’s was picked to read for Mr Thompson’s class. They had to read their essay on the spot in front of the whole 5th grade and their parents! He was just getting over a sickness so his voice was a bit crackly but he did great! He got a big trophy too! I had a cough drop and bottled water in my purse in case he needed it, but he didn’t. Mr. Thompson pulled me aside and jokingly said that he has highly considering holding Ian back so he could be in his class again, he just thinks he is the coolest kid.  Ian has also loved Academic Team this year! Grandpa & Grandma Young Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Young drove all the way from Idaho to visit us!  It took them 2 1/2 days because they stopped at Mt. Rushmore, but they got here around 1:00 pm and we were all so excited and when Rylan got off the bus, they were there waiting for him! With G & G Young comes the I-pad which is a good way for Grandmas and Grandpas to get to actually hold their grandkids all they want.   Ian learned quite a bit from the I-pad just from their time here.   Ian has learned to say, "cheese" whenever someone points a camera at him  I am sorry to say that we didn't do that much, and when I asked them what they wanted to do they said that just wanted to watch me be a mom and play with the kids. They even babysat while Scott and I went to a dance, and when Scott was out of town I went to play with friends one Friday.  I felt guilty leaving but they insisted on letting me have a night out away from kids.  We did hav...

Rylan and the Beginning of Mission Prep

(Early Spring 2022) Rylan was able to have one last percussion season.
