Grammy & Papa Visit

 Scott's parents came to visit us at the end of May! We've been trying to get them out here but they both work so hard that it just hadn't worked out.  Grammy couldn't believe how grown up Rylan was!



 In the 38 years these two have been married they have only been on a couple vacations together, it was long overdue, can you see their white legs!!! We weren't sure if Papa had ever worn anything but cowboy boys so we were curious how he would do at the beach!

 By 5:00 p.m. on their first day they were wiped out! In fact Papa slept on the couch, in that position all night!
 We enjoyed showing them our favorite places on the island like Tantalus Lookout, Sea Life Park and Sherwoods Beach





 Papa was such a sweetheart and helped Ian ride waves on his board.  He probably pushed him into the waves for a full hour, over and over again. Ian had a smile on his face the whole time.



 We took them up to North Shore, and while Scott was getting our PCC tickets we stopped at the temple

Mom loved the quilt store at the PCC, those cute missionary sisters get to sew all day! LUCKY!

We were so lucky that they were able to come visit us before we moved plus I think they enjoyed the vacation!

Dare Essay winner

 (Early Spring 2022)  Ian was selected to read his essay at his DARE graduation! They called the top three essays for each class and Ian’s was picked to read for Mr Thompson’s class. They had to read their essay on the spot in front of the whole 5th grade and their parents! He was just getting over a sickness so his voice was a bit crackly but he did great! He got a big trophy too! I had a cough drop and bottled water in my purse in case he needed it, but he didn’t. Mr. Thompson pulled me aside and jokingly said that he has highly considering holding Ian back so he could be in his class again, he just thinks he is the coolest kid.  Ian has also loved Academic Team this year! Grandpa & Grandma Young Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Young drove all the way from Idaho to visit us!  It took them 2 1/2 days because they stopped at Mt. Rushmore, but they got here around 1:00 pm and we were all so excited and when Rylan got off the bus, they were there waiting for him! With G & G Young comes the I-pad which is a good way for Grandmas and Grandpas to get to actually hold their grandkids all they want.   Ian learned quite a bit from the I-pad just from their time here.   Ian has learned to say, "cheese" whenever someone points a camera at him  I am sorry to say that we didn't do that much, and when I asked them what they wanted to do they said that just wanted to watch me be a mom and play with the kids. Rylan and the Beginning of Mission Prep

(Early Spring 2022) Rylan was able to have one last percussion season.
