After we got home from our Idaho trip we had some room rearranging to do since M'Lynn left, (bawwwahh) that meant her room was free. So we moved Rylan into her room and Madelyn and Ian are sharing. Madelyn now has a big bed
and Ian is out of the crib and in the toddler bed
Which means that I often wake up to this smiling face at 5:30 in the morning, "I waked up mommy!"

We went to the pool a lot and the nearby splash pad
The kids all took swimming lessons and grew tremendously in confidence and strength. Rylan is confident in the deep end, can tread water and has a flawless backstroke. Madelyn can go underwater and swim independently for about 4 feet, she loved her "boy teacher" Chris and once when he wasn't there she did NOT want to get into the water. We see Chris at the pool often and she always says hi to him and giggles! I took a class with Ian and he is comfortable with jumping in, as long as I am right there ready to catch, and putting his face in the water very briefly

and occasionally Ian ripped off his diaper to be nudie. They played outside with these water guns a lot!

Scott and I went to Chicago Cubs game!
It was so fun being together cheering them on, but the best part was listening to the men behind us! They had thick Chicagoan accents and had a comment and opinion on everything, every person that walked by, every play, every song, they were cracking us up!
This is the bus that we took to get there, it was full of Cubs fans, and we met some really nice people since we were practically sitting on top of each other. On they way there we were standing the whole time, but on the way back we got a seat.
Madelyn's beloved Molly (she used to be mine) broke her leg. . .
but Mommy found a video on YouTube that showed me how to fix it, it only cost about $2 vs the $40 + shipping it was going to cost to ship it to the American Girl Doll store! Or the trauma it would have caused me to drive down to the AGD store in downtown Chicago!
Rylan got to spend a entire month with Grammy, Papa, and Alli in Idaho! Grammy flew back with them and stayed for a couple days. She and Alli were here for Rylan's birthday! Here they are playing just dance
Alli and Rylan are best buds! They had so much fun together this summer. I met Breezi and her kids half way in Indiana to trade her back.

Our village has free concerts on Friday nights during the summer, and a farmers market every Thursday with kids entertainment! We loved going everyweek, they had jugglers, clowns, sing-a-longs

Maddy caught a lot of frogs, she LOVES to play with them, these ones are super tiny about the size of a 50 cent piece.
We went on a lot of walks/runs to the pond and the park nearby, Ian decided this time that he was going to run along with me.
Scott's uncle Staten and his wife Courtney came to visit on their drive across America. The kids were instantly all over them and Maddy was making Staten read her a book about cars
We took them downtown to Millennium Park, where they were showing a outdoor movie of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
we had dinner of Giordano's pizza by the infamous Bean!

We even thought about getting a dog, not this one but a Springer Spaniel that our friends were giving away but decided not to, whew. . . I don't think I am ready yet
