Primary Temple Trip

  Our primary at church took the kids on a field trip to the Chicago Temple


The kids were very reverent on the temple grounds.  They aren't allowed inside for regular worship.  It was really special to share even the outside of the temple with them.  It is so peaceful and special, and I have very sacred feelings about the temple.  It is where I married my sweetheart for eternity not death do you part, but for forever. I feel very close to my Savior when in the temple because of the promises and covenants that I have made with him and with Scott. I hope that each of my children will remember the feelings they felt while there, and that we can continue to come back and share how special the temple is.  I also wish that they each will someday be able to make the same covenants that I have made with our Father in Heaven, because it is those covenants that truly make my life complete and happy.

Dare Essay winner

 (Early Spring 2022)  Ian was selected to read his essay at his DARE graduation! They called the top three essays for each class and Ian’s was picked to read for Mr Thompson’s class. They had to read their essay on the spot in front of the whole 5th grade and their parents! He was just getting over a sickness so his voice was a bit crackly but he did great! He got a big trophy too! I had a cough drop and bottled water in my purse in case he needed it, but he didn’t. Mr. Thompson pulled me aside and jokingly said that he has highly considering holding Ian back so he could be in his class again, he just thinks he is the coolest kid.  Ian has also loved Academic Team this year! Grandpa & Grandma Young Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Young drove all the way from Idaho to visit us!  It took them 2 1/2 days because they stopped at Mt. Rushmore, but they got here around 1:00 pm and we were all so excited and when Rylan got off the bus, they were there waiting for him! With G & G Young comes the I-pad which is a good way for Grandmas and Grandpas to get to actually hold their grandkids all they want.   Ian learned quite a bit from the I-pad just from their time here.   Ian has learned to say, "cheese" whenever someone points a camera at him  I am sorry to say that we didn't do that much, and when I asked them what they wanted to do they said that just wanted to watch me be a mom and play with the kids. Rylan and the Beginning of Mission Prep

(Early Spring 2022) Rylan was able to have one last percussion season.
