Last Days of School

 Rylan had his spring band concert in May as well.  I couldn't get a good picture of him because of where he was sitting, but he was there and played great!

 Madelyn at her kindergarten graduation. They performed a couple songs one of them being "What a Feeling" from Flashdance.  Their music teacher is the coolest guy, he plays multiple instruments, is really funny, remembers my kids'  names, inspired and taught Rylan how to play the trumpet and has the kids sing songs that parents are familiar with.

 Mrs. Oskroba, she was  a wonderful teacher for Madelyn's first year of school.  She often told me that Madelyn could very well substitute her class when she was gone and that her social maturity was above and beyond the average kindergartener.  When she did need to get a substitute, she wrote in her notes to the sub, "if you have any questions about how the class is run just ask Madelyn she will help you."  Maybe we have a future teacher on our hands?

 This is Rylan and his friend Megan on the last day of school.  I felt horrible we literally packed the house up a couple days before we moved and when he came off the bus on the last day we rushed him into the car and headed west immediately.

She has been a great friend and neighbor for Rylan.

Scott's co-workers gave our kids body boards and sand toys, and some really nice sentimental gifts for Scott.

This is Scott and his co-workers Brian and Jae who he was visiting one last time.  They were very good friends during his tour there.

 Our friends the Korella's hosted a luau style going away party for us!  It was so special and sweet of them to do that.  They all signed a message for us in the book "Oh the Places You'll Go" by Dr Seuss.

We had a few last play dates at the park,

My other wonderful friend Sandy planned a girls movie night, but then she ended up going into labor  3 weeks early with this cutie!  I think Adeline just wanted to meet me before we moved.  They let us crash in their basement after our stuff was moved out of our house and we were waiting for the kids to finish school.  

The packers came and packed our house up in 1 day, then the next day they moved it into this semi, drove it to California then unloaded it into crates and put it on a barge to go across the ocean.

 We said goodbye to our sweet neighbor grandma Peggy, she and her husband Bob gave our kids gifts for every holiday, watched and loved our kids, mowed our lawn, and almost everyday after work she would meet the kids in the back yard for their daily chat over the fence.

Goodbye 7215 Commonwealth!  You've been good to us and we loved living here!
