Best Buds

 Madelyn has learned that Ian can be a great playmate!  Especially when he lets her dress him up.  Here he was her prince:

On Sunday morning when the kids wake up they play in their room together so Scott and I can sleep in to at least 8:00 a.m. ( I know that is super late!)  Their favorite game is "throw all the stuffed animals and blankets you can into Ian's crib and jump inside like it is a pool" game.

Ian loves to snuggle, I think I hear him say "nuggle me" about 5 times a day.  Maddy likes to be a little mommy to him so it is perfect when I am busy that they can snuggle and be happy!




 Ian has also been interested in the computer, or "pooter" as he calls it, Madelyn has been showing him the ropes.  I caught him putting his arm around her.  I love to see and hear them playing together and getting along.  Does it happen all the time, no!  Maddy can irritate Ian like nobody else, put they also can entertain each other quite well.
Other things they like to play together are: puppies, store, jump off the stairs into a pile of blankets, run around the couch in a circle, fight to see who can hug daddy first when he comes home, and help mom in the kitchen.  I have to find jobs for them and it has to be divided equally!  They are so cute and at such fun ages.

Dare Essay winner

 (Early Spring 2022)  Ian was selected to read his essay at his DARE graduation! They called the top three essays for each class and Ian’s was picked to read for Mr Thompson’s class. They had to read their essay on the spot in front of the whole 5th grade and their parents! He was just getting over a sickness so his voice was a bit crackly but he did great! He got a big trophy too! I had a cough drop and bottled water in my purse in case he needed it, but he didn’t. Mr. Thompson pulled me aside and jokingly said that he has highly considering holding Ian back so he could be in his class again, he just thinks he is the coolest kid.  Ian has also loved Academic Team this year! Grandpa & Grandma Young Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Young drove all the way from Idaho to visit us!  It took them 2 1/2 days because they stopped at Mt. Rushmore, but they got here around 1:00 pm and we were all so excited and when Rylan got off the bus, they were there waiting for him! With G & G Young comes the I-pad which is a good way for Grandmas and Grandpas to get to actually hold their grandkids all they want.   Ian learned quite a bit from the I-pad just from their time here.   Ian has learned to say, "cheese" whenever someone points a camera at him  I am sorry to say that we didn't do that much, and when I asked them what they wanted to do they said that just wanted to watch me be a mom and play with the kids. Rylan and the Beginning of Mission Prep
