We Caught IT!

The sickness lingered through our house these past two weeks. There was a lot of temperature taking . . .



cuddling . . .



popsicles and movies. . .

Ugh, it started with Scott, then the next day I got it, then 3 days later Maddy then Rylan. We thought we were over it then our poor little Ian started to cough! He is just about over it finally. But for a couple days there we were misrable and there was a whole lot of coughing going on. But now we are back to smiling again.

Glad you are all feeling better! It can be scary when someone as young as Ian gets sick. Hope that now that everyone has had it, nobody goes for round 2. Also hope you had some help!

(btw, the thermometer pic shows up with your post on my feed but it is so small that way that I thought it was a pregnancy test. whew! I was scared for you girl!)

So sorry to hear you all were so sick! :( It's the worst to be sick and still have to be parents! But maybe worse to watch your kids get sick and not be able to take it away immediately. That little smile Ian is giving at the end of the post is to die for! We can't wait to meet him :)

 (Early Spring 2022)  Ian was selected to read his essay at his DARE graduation! They called the top three essays for each class and Ian’s was picked to read for Mr Thompson’s class. They had to read their essay on the spot in front of the whole 5th grade and their parents! He was just getting over a sickness so his voice was a bit crackly but he did great! He got a big trophy too! I had a cough drop and bottled water in my purse in case he needed it, but he didn’t. Mr. Thompson pulled me aside and jokingly said that he has highly considering holding Ian back so he could be in his class again, he just thinks he is the coolest kid.  Ian has also loved Academic Team this year! Grandpa & Grandma Young Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Young drove all the way from Idaho to visit us!  It took them 2 1/2 days because they stopped at Mt. Rushmore, but they got here around 1:00 pm and we were all so excited and when Rylan got off the bus, they were there waiting for him! With G & G Young comes the I-pad which is a good way for Grandmas and Grandpas to get to actually hold their grandkids all they want.   Ian learned quite a bit from the I-pad just from their time here.   Ian has learned to say, "cheese" whenever someone points a camera at him  I am sorry to say that we didn't do that much, and when I asked them what they wanted to do they said that just wanted to watch me be a mom and play with the kids. Rylan and the Beginning of Mission Prep
