Playing in the Leaves

It was another gorgeous fall day, M'Lynn headed outside to start raking our huge backyard, and soon Rylan joined her, then our neighborhood boy, Madelyn, then Ian and I joined in on the fun.  We have three enormous oak trees and between the three of them our backyard was covered and you could hardly see the grass anymore.

When we first put Ian in the leaves he freaked, but soon after he was jumping in by himself

The kids decided to build a fort and hallow out the middle and build walls

                                                                            Jumpin

                                                          Rylan was "swimming" in them

                                                               Has anyone seen Maddy?

To get their big pile, the kids transfered all the leaves over from another pile, Rylan had a wheelbarrow, Alex had a trash can and Maddy got to use the wagon!  Ian went up to it and climbed right in and was so happy, even if he was getttin leaves dumped on him!

This picture was taken by my friend Lisa when Madelyn was playing with her kids in their leaf pile, isn't it so cute!
We should probably bag up those leaves before the wind blows them all back!

Great post of the joys of being a child in the Fall. I love that last picture of Maddie. I made it my desktop background for the day. What a cutie!
