Ward Party


Last Saturday was our ward Christmas party...what a fun night! Rylan had a blast with his church friends until he was running and somehow ran into a chair and he ear was bleeding! Ouch! It didn't look that bad then but when he woke up the next morning his ear was purple! Anyway he really loved talking to Santa and when I asked him if he thought it was the "real" Santa, he said, "No, probably not, but he was a GOOD Santa, plus he even knew my NAME! how the heck did he do that?"
Rylan has written his letter to Santa and we are going to take it to Macy's whenever it stops snowing! Maddy did not have a pleasant experience, I tried to put her on santa's lap and she screamed "no, no, noooooo!" Maybe next year.

I just showed Alli the picture of Ry's ear and she was so worried. She asked how it happened and I told her that he was running at church. She shrugged her shoulders and said "I guess that's what happens when you run at church, huh?". What a funny kid.
Hope Ry feels better soon!

If it makes you feel any better... this is the very first year that Maggie has liked Santa. Even last year she was screaming "NO!!" at him.

Dare Essay winner

 (Early Spring 2022)  Ian was selected to read his essay at his DARE graduation! They called the top three essays for each class and Ian’s was picked to read for Mr Thompson’s class. They had to read their essay on the spot in front of the whole 5th grade and their parents! He was just getting over a sickness so his voice was a bit crackly but he did great! He got a big trophy too! I had a cough drop and bottled water in my purse in case he needed it, but he didn’t. Mr. Thompson pulled me aside and jokingly said that he has highly considering holding Ian back so he could be in his class again, he just thinks he is the coolest kid.  Ian has also loved Academic Team this year! Grandpa & Grandma Young Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Young drove all the way from Idaho to visit us!  It took them 2 1/2 days because they stopped at Mt. Rushmore, but they got here around 1:00 pm and we were all so excited and when Rylan got off the bus, they were there waiting for him! With G & G Young comes the I-pad which is a good way for Grandmas and Grandpas to get to actually hold their grandkids all they want.   Ian learned quite a bit from the I-pad just from their time here.   Ian has learned to say, "cheese" whenever someone points a camera at him  I am sorry to say that we didn't do that much, and when I asked them what they wanted to do they said that just wanted to watch me be a mom and play with the kids. Rylan and the Beginning of Mission Prep
