Quick trip up north
Since Rylan was out of school Scott took the week off and we headed up to Grangeville. Idaho, good ol' Idaho. I am telling ya there is no place like it! We stopped to visit Anna in Boise to break up the trip. We may be spoiling our kids but they each have their own dvd player in the car and that made the trip so much EASIER! Since Madelyn is not 20 pounds yet she is still rear facing in her car seat so they cannot share a dvd player. The first thing Rylan wanted to do when we got there was ride Papa's horses, he is getting braver and braver and Sprinkles (who he helped name) is getting used to him too. Papa has a new colt named Nugget, she is very sweet but still learning and Scott was actually brave enough to get on her but I wasn't there to get a picture. Madelyn does not scream anymore when you take her up to a horse! That is progress, she even learned what a horsy says.

Rylan got in trouble and had to go to his room, he must have been playing really hard because we found him like this on the top bunk:
Then we headed to the southfork and camped in grandma Adah's trailer. It was freezing! Remind me to not go camping in October again..ok? We were really happy to have the trailer to huddle in when it was too cold.
We were right next to the river. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Scott got to have a lot of fishing time, and I have to say that seeing him with his cowboy hat fly fishing in the river made me want to smooch him! He is one sexy moutain man. I snuck this picture of him:

Scott caught two rainbow trout. Rylan caught none :(
Good thing Grammy was there to help with Maddy! She was a wild child!

Rylan loved to throw rocks into the river, the bigger he could muster up to pick up and throw, the better!
He and Grammy made a sand castle complete with trees and rock buildings.
The next is a series of pictures, Rylan really wanted to stand on this big rock that was almost in the middle of the river. There were just enough rocks above water to step on to get to it, with Scott's help of course.
