Funny Rylan quotes

Rylan is quite the funny kid! He has said some hilarious things lately. Ok the first was when Scott took Rylan to the movies in Scott's 1968 Chevy truck (Scott inherited it from his Grandpa). As they were driving the conversation went like this:
Ry: Dad when I get my license, can I have your green truck?
Scott: Well maybe,why?
Ry: Because girls like boys in trucks.

Then last night Scott was cutting Rylan's hair super short for the summer and he gave him a mowhawk just for fun. Rylan did not like this..he started bawling when he saw it in the mirror. Then he said:
"It looks scary..I don't want to look scary then Lexi won't play with me."

Rylan is right about the truck theory! And the theory works both ways. Remember how we always took my truck out on the town? Did you get a picture of Ry and his mohawk? That is too funny---most boys would have not let you cut it off! I have a mohawk in my class right now--he thinks he's pretty tough :) Love the quotes--keep um comin'!

Thomas J. told me the other day that Lexi was his girlfriend, so I can see why Rylan is evaluating what he can do to win over her heart.

 (Early Spring 2022)  Ian was selected to read his essay at his DARE graduation! They called the top three essays for each class and Ian’s was picked to read for Mr Thompson’s class. They had to read their essay on the spot in front of the whole 5th grade and their parents! He was just getting over a sickness so his voice was a bit crackly but he did great! Grandpa & Grandma Young Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Young drove all the way from Idaho to visit us!  It took them 2 1/2 days because they stopped at Mt. Rushmore, but they got here around 1:00 pm and we were all so excited and when Rylan got off the bus, they were there waiting for him! With G & G Young comes the I-pad which is a good way for Grandmas and Grandpas to get to actually hold their grandkids all they want.   Ian learned quite a bit from the I-pad just from their time here.   Ian has learned to say, "cheese" whenever someone points a camera at him  I am sorry to say that we didn't do that much, and when I asked them what they wanted to do they said that just wanted to watch me be a mom and play with the kids. Rylan and the Beginning of Mission Prep
