Spring is Here!

We are so happy to have warmer weather and sunshine. . .FINALLY! We have spent many days riding bikes, going for walks and being outside.

Scott also has been traveling a lot too.  On this particular morning Madelyn was up early enough to see Scott off.  She was wondering why he had to leave and when he was coming back.
She has become quite the daddy's girl lately always wanting to be near him. This is her face when I told her one day that dad wasn't coming home that night and she wouldn't see him for a couple days. She pouted for a couple hours after that.
Pure sadness! But complete joy when he is home again!

Our church playgroup had a little Easter egg hunt, Madelyn was too fast to get pictures of as she ran off to be with her friends, so I focused on Ian.

He thought all the eggs were "special!"

Madelyn and Ian love to ride their bikes in our back yard, they do this for hours everyday...

On April 22nd I went downtown with my girlfriends to celebrate a friend's birthday.  We have heard all about this restaurant downtown called the Bongo Room, so we loaded up our kids and made a adventure out of it.

Happy Birthday Jacquie! The menu did NOT disappoint!  It's a good thing that my friends didn't mind that I was eating off their plate because I just couldn't help myself!

Also in April we registered Madelyn for Kindergarten! She was so excited to go see what a real Kindergarten class looked like.  We met with the principal for a couple minutes then a Kindergarten teacher came and got all the kids and took them back to a class where they each had a current Kindergarten be their buddy and show them around their class.  Then they made a sunflower craft and were each given a sunflower seed and a little poem about how if they plant this and wait for it to get really tall, then it will be about the time to start school!  When they were done we got to take a ride on a school bus since all the kids are bused in.

The kids loved that!  They have been watching Rylan take the bus for 2 years but have never gotten to ride on one!
