Random Summer Pictures

Our summer so far:

 A family of skunks came to visit us. . .

 Rylan gave Madelyn a mock fire drill

Playing at the water fountains, how cute is that face?

He just wanted to GRAB that water so bad!


 Swim lessons for Maddy whose confindence has grown tremendously!  She is not afraid to go underwater anymore, and can even swim a couple feet all by herself, and do a back float.


Rylan spent his lessons learning the breast stroke, front crawl, froggy, back stroke, butterfly, and getting stronger at holding his breath for longer periods of time.
His teacher was quite the drill sergent and pushed Rylan really hard, but he toughed it out and is a great swimmer!

We have heard this song so often on the radio that Madelyn knows it by heart. . .

We also have been going to the pool at our gym at least twice a week, Ian loves the water!

He also loves watching his big brother! Rylan plays a game with him where we swims towards him and Ian runs out of the pool, then he goes back in and chases Rylan...and they do that over and over.

Dare Essay winner

 (Early Spring 2022)  Ian was selected to read his essay at his DARE graduation! They called the top three essays for each class and Ian’s was picked to read for Mr Thompson’s class. They had to read their essay on the spot in front of the whole 5th grade and their parents! He was just getting over a sickness so his voice was a bit crackly but he did great! He got a big trophy too! I had a cough drop and bottled water in my purse in case he needed it, but he didn’t. Mr. Thompson pulled me aside and jokingly said that he has highly considering holding Ian back so he could be in his class again, he just thinks he is the coolest kid.  Ian has also loved Academic Team this year! Grandpa & Grandma Young Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Young drove all the way from Idaho to visit us!  It took them 2 1/2 days because they stopped at Mt. Rushmore, but they got here around 1:00 pm and we were all so excited and when Rylan got off the bus, they were there waiting for him! With G & G Young comes the I-pad which is a good way for Grandmas and Grandpas to get to actually hold their grandkids all they want.   Ian learned quite a bit from the I-pad just from their time here.   Ian has learned to say, "cheese" whenever someone points a camera at him  I am sorry to say that we didn't do that much, and when I asked them what they wanted to do they said that just wanted to watch me be a mom and play with the kids. They even babysat while Scott and I went to a dance, and when Scott was out of town I went to play with friends one Friday.  I felt guilty leaving but they insisted on letting me have a night out away from kids.  We did hav...

Rylan and the Beginning of Mission Prep

(Early Spring 2022) Rylan was able to have one last percussion season.
