Our little Ian 14 months
Ian is growing out of the baby stage and into a toddler. It is so amazing watching him mimic his brother and sister. He loves to be near them, and follows them and tries to do what they do, then gets frustrated when he can't ride a bike or climb up on the chair. He has gained just a few more words like all done, and mama, but still isn't a big talker. He likes to grunt and point at things to get his way, we understand him.
Some new things about Ian:he brings us his shoes and waves bye to tell us he wants to go outside
finally walking
gives high-fivescan successfuly go to the child care center at our gym without screaming when I leave
he puts his hands up palms face up when he is looking for something or I ask him "where is. . ." something.
if we are in the front of the house when Scott comes home on his motorcycle and Ian can hear it he goes running to the window until his sees his daddy then runs to the door with his arms up ready for Scott to pick him up
is transitioning from two naps a day to one big long nap and sleeping 12 hrs at night 7pm-7am
stealing snacks from the cupboard and hiding
refuses to enter a classroom at church with mom & dad, he screams the second we enter the door. He does like to run up and down the halls. Nursery countdown: 4 months!
gives hugs & kisses
Such a handsome boy, Aunt Breezi sent us these suspenders and a whole bunch of boys clothes from her twin boys. I cannot think of suspenders and not think of Scott's grandpa John who Ian is named after. . .
He always wore suspenders, and he wore them WELL, don't ya think?
My favorite new trick Ian does is folding his arms. He does this when I put him in his highchair before he gets his food to remind us, or in the morning when we go in the living room before Rylan goes to school, he knows it is prayer time.
He says "all done" instead of amen at the end.
He also kind of knows what a kitty and doggie say. . .it helps when the neighbor dog is outside.
Still needs a little help from Rylan who is the best at teaching him tricks. While we were outside the other night, Rylan was throwing his ball on the roof then catching it as it came down, while he would wait for the ball he would put his arms in the air and yell "yahoo!" Ian caught on to that and was walking around with his arms up saying "yahoo!"
He is also such a cuddlier, he loves to sit on my lap and have his tummy rubbed and his back. He loves his bottle too, my other kids gave up the bottle when they were 1 on their own, but Ian LOVES his bottle and cuddle time. You would think that with all the fatty milk he would be a chunk but he is only about 18 lbs.
That is my little guy, I am trying to take as many pictures of him that I have of Rylan and Madelyn, but it is hard, we are so much more busy with the three kids. I now understand why there are about 20 pictures of me from birth-5 yrs since I was the youngest of 5...I forgive you mom & dad. :)
