Ian Turns 2!
He was singing this for days!
Our little Ian turned two on January 11th! Due to some unexpected car maintenance bills we didn't have much of a party budget, good thing Ian is only two and could careless! Even though his birthday was on a Friday we celebrated it on Saturday because Scott was out of town for work. During his nap the kids and I set up his favorite toys in stations. We set up the Thomas the Train set, the marble racing set, a kid kitchen, and blew up some balloons. Then when he woke up we followed him around and played whatever he wanted to play. He was in heaven! The kids also helped me make his cake, not the fanciest cake I have ever attempted but hey he was happy!
He was mostly excited with playing with the balloons! Look at that kid laugh!
Say "cheese"
Then we had Ian's favorite dinner, Mac & Cheese and canned green beans. That is the only vegetable that he will sometimes eat, all others ..NEVER! He is not a very good eater. He almost always refuses dinner.. He is only 20 lbs, which puts him not even on the percentile charts, but he is right where he should be with his speech, colors and shapes. We are working on letters, it helps that Madelyn is always teaching him and playing school with him. Thanks Maddy! The doctor put him on some special vitamins that should help supplement what he is not getting in his food. Little stinker.
Ian wanted to blow out the candles all by himself this time, but I think dad might have helped him towards the end.
I think he liked it!
Then we opened presents, Ian has been pretending to be a puppy for a long time, and he has been coveting Madelyn's fur real toys. So he got his very own puppy that barks and whines and wiggles and wags his tail when you pet him. Plus it won't poop and pee on our floor! Yeah!
He also got a Grover microphone, he was letting his puppy have a turn with it!
I sure love this little guy. He sleeps really well, and loves to snuggle. He quite often will come up to me and say, "nuggle you!" He loves trains, Diego, juice, fruit snacks, helping me in the kitchen, doing puzzles, calling things silly, dancing, singing, keeping food stored in his mouth until it is so disgusting he doesn't want to swallow it, so he will spit it out in my hand. He is also finally happy to go to nursery at church and the gym care center, he happily says, "Bye Mom!" waves and walks away. Whew. He is just a fun, cute little 2 year old that looks like a one year old!
