Week in Lehi

After our Anniversary party I drove Scott to the airport to drop him off so he could go home and work for 2 weeks.  I always cry when we have to be apart for a long period of time. Even though I am with my family I still miss him and worry more about things, mostly driving and something happening to the car.  I know he will be happy to have the house to himself and go on as many motorcycle rides, play tennis and eat junk food as much as he wants.  His nagging wife won't be there to feed him vegetables and ask for help with the kids.   We drove to Lehi to Margie’s house and the kids instantly took off to play with each other. The fun thing about Auntie Margie's house is that she has chickens! My animal lovers were so happy. Ian checked for eggs every ten minutes, he loves feeding them and I have caught him talking to them. The 50th Wedding Anniversary Party

On our way to Ogden, we drove by our old house in Layton, the family tore out all the grape bushes, and haven’t really done much as far as landscaping even though we heard that the person who bought the house is  a landscape designer. We noticed that they put in an air conditioning unit and covered up the swamp cooler. We stopped at Cafe Rio for lunch in Layton, we love their steak and chicken salad with the avocado lime dressing, we drove around a little and noticed the businesses that were new. I was so excited with the anticipation of seeing my family, some I hadn’t seen for 3 years! As we were following the GPS I noticed that a gray Honda Odyssey was in front of us and was making all the same turns as we were, I instantly thought it was Margaret and Jeff.   The house we stayed at was huge! It had 10 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms I think, I kept seeing areas that I hadn’t seen before. It was perfect for our 28 person family. We all had our own space and there were plent...
