Thanksgiving 2021 With the Reardons

This first picture just about sums up our time with our friends the Reardons. They came to visit us for Thanksgiving. It was the first time in a long time that we were able to spend the holiday with family! We were so overjoyed to have them.   Julie and I divided up the Thanksgiving day meal.  I purchased some things for her before they came. They really wanted to do the turkey so they had a turkey in a brine in a cooler. The evening they came we just talked and went for a walk in the evening to show them around our neighborhood. Before they got to our house Madelyn and I made a pumpkin pie and a chocolate cream pie together. Scott and the boys were on cleaning duty.  Thursday- I was up at seven with Brian and I helped him prepare the turkey. He chopped up apples, an onion, some cinnamon and some apple cider vinegar and stuck it inside the bird.  I was intrigued. He also put some spices in there. Fall 2021

Back to school! We have three kids in three different schools! They were so excited to go back after being at home most of the last school year. They had to wear masks but they were okay with that, as long as they could see their friends again.  Bo was not so happy! He wondered where he kids had gone and stayed by the front door for at least 2 hours and waited for them to come home.  Rylan was also ready to have a band season!  He attended his first high school dance with his GIRLFRIEND Kyann Clark. They allowed me to take pictures, then t hey drove to the school and there was a bus that took them to Louisville to a large ferry boat called “The Belle of Louisville” that went down the Ohio river. They served them dinner and had a dance, but Rylan said that it was just a bunch of people jumping up and down so mostly he just talked with his friends. He said there were no slow dances (not sure if it was because of covid?) but that being on top of the ferry was really fun and ...
